Learning to skate? Really?
I actually do ice skate and also coach kids how to start skating. These techniques are practically irrelevant to both. Posture isnt a necessity to learning how to take your first steps. It is important for figure skating, but if people are learning for recreational purposes it wont be needed. The only posture that we will occasionally in force is "keeping arms up like an airplane" for balance. The V position isnt important at all... The proper position is actually the T position. Also, I have never seen anyone step on the ice sideways. We even put the little ones on forward. The idea for this app is really good though. If you are wishing to create an app for beginners, I would suggest looking through the Skate Canada guide lines for actual important steps. (Both for the PreCanSkate and the CanSkate would be appropriate!)
